Punta Patiño Lodge
The realm of the Harpy Eagle

Known as the last bastion of wilderness in Central America, the Darien is still as intriguing as it was almost 500 years ago when the first Conquistadors visited the area in search of riches and ultimately a passage to the Pacific Ocean. The 60,000-acre Punta Patiño Nature Reserve is the largest private natural protected area in Central America and it is part of the Darien National Park complex of preserved lands.

Within Punta Patiño there are marine and coastal environments, wetlands, rivers, secondary growth forests and primeval rainforests, as well as Embera indigenous communities. The Punta Patiño Lodge is located atop a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean to the South and surrounded by the natural splendor of the area. It's 10 well appointed cabins are air-conditioned and have private bathrooms. A dinning hall and a chapel dating back to the early 20th century are all part of the lodge's facilities. Tours to Punta Patiño are guided by a Naturalist.

Bocas Inn, Bocas del Toro

The Bocas Inn is a charming family lodge located on the water's edge of Colon Island, in the town of Bocas del Toro. Seven comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms with private bathrooms, an open air dinning hall, a sun deck, a hammock balcony and spectacular local food specialties make the Bocas Inn a favorite among visitors to this Caribbean destination. Daily tours are available from the lodge and cold beers and tropical drinks are always present at the Akee Bar.

Rio Chagres Field Station, Soberania National Park

Just 45 minutes away from Panama City, Soberania boasts 50,000 acres of lowland tropical rainforests that are part of the Panama Canal Watershed.
