Naturalist
Guides
Naturalist Guide is the most important connection between the
natural splendour and the traveler. He or she is the key to
the success of a trip. We take great pride for having set the
standards for this reputable profession in Panama. All of our
Naturalists have extensive training
and experience in the regions and fields of expertise they excel
at.
Just as important, they enjoy what they do and find it easy to
transmit their enthusiasm and knowledge to those who travel with
them. They are
the country’s finest as pledged by travel guide books, specialized
publications and travelers.
" The
depth of knowledge and dedication of your guides is amazing.
The passion each member of the Ancon Expeditions of Panama staff
has for conservation and the environment is remarkable and comforting"
-- Nancy George-Richards

Hernan
brings to Ancon Expeditions of Panama the experience of one
of the pioneers in Natural History
tours in Panama.
Mario
was born in El Valle de Anton, in central Panama, on the
foothills of a dormant volcano. A naturalist by heart,
he has spent his life studying flora and fauna of Panama.
Richard
was born in Panama City to American parents. He is a seasoned
naturalist guide as well as an extraordinary expedition leader.
Educated in Business Administration, he pioneered the development
of organized ecotourism in Panama more than 15 years ago.
Marisin was born in Puerto Armuelles, Chiriqui province.
She did her studies in Mississippi. After returning to Panama,
she began studies atthe American Training Institute where
she graduated as a Naturalist Guide.
Christian
is the most recent addition to the guide core of the Ancon
Expeditions of Panama. Born in
the town of Chitre, in central Panama, to a Panamanian mother
and a French father, this young naturalist is a perfect example
of the cultural mix that has characterized Panama during
the last 500 years.
Alvaro was born to Spanish parents and since
his childhood days he is blessed with a distinctive attraction
for nature. He first started exploring the outdoors with
his older brother and by the time he could drink beer (legally)
he was already guiding tours professionally.
